Parts and Product

These days, parts and product's are weighed totally different. On a new 2011 Chevy Silverado, you are looking at nothing less than 21,000 dollars. The same goes for a new 2011 Ford F-150. Now this is only for the product of the vehicle. This is where the parts come in at. The parts of a new F-150 are nothing compared to a new Silverado. A new Silverado cost's more to make, but the part value is low. Now, with the F-150, it is totally oppisite. The part value of the F-150 is way higher than that of the Silverado. Therefore making the Silverado a longer lasting vehicle. This causes a shift up in the demand curve for the silverado, but a shift down in the demand curve for the F-150. In my opinion, If i were a new car buyer, i would be leaning more towards the Silverado.
